Angel Flight West serves patients and families across 12 western states, organized into regional “Wings”: Alaska, Arizona, California (divided into Northern and Southern Wings), Colorado, Hawai'i, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Each Wing is supported by a dedicated Wing Leader and team of volunteers who coordinate local outreach and provide volunteer support.
In Alaska, where distances are vast and road access is often limited, Angel Flight West partners with Alaska Airlines to ensure patients can reach essential medical care — both within the state and to the Lower 48. This critical partnership allows us to serve Alaskans facing serious health challenges with donated commercial seats.
Through this network of Wings and strategic partnerships, we remain committed to our mission of removing the barriers of distance and cost for those in need of medical and compassionate travel.
Meet Our Wing Leaders
Wing Leaders are experienced Angel Flight West volunteers who serve as regional ambassadors within our 12 Wings. These dedicated volunteer pilots and mission supporters help conduct outreach in local communities, support new volunteers, coordinate events, and act as a vital link between the volunteer network and Angel Flight West staff. Their leadership, passion, and local knowledge are key to expanding our reach and ensuring we engage with local volunteers, healthcare professionals, and the people and families who need our services.
