You will be asked to provide a username and password. You chose your username and password when you completed your volunteer application. If you can’t remember your username or password, you can use the “Forgot Username” or “Forgot Password” links on the login screen.
To download the mobile app, visit the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and search for Angel Flight West.
Efficiency Value
The efficiency percentage shown in many forms of the missions availble list is designed to show you how geographically efficient the flight is for you based on your home base airport. Stated another way, it shows how far you would need to go out of your way to complete the trip. A trip that is 100% efficient means that you are flying either in or out of your home base and therefore not going out of your way at all. A trip that’s 90% efficient means you’re not going very far out of your way. A trip that’s less than 70% efficient is not likely to make sense for you.
The efficiency is calculated as follows. We take the round trip distance from the passenger’s origin to the passenger’s destination and divide that by your total trip distance. Your total trip distance is the distance from your home base airport to the passenger’s origin, plus the distance from the passenger’s origin to the passenger’s destination, plus the distance from the passenger’s destination back to your home base airport. The result is a fraction that we display as a percentage.
Volunteer Opportunities for Mission Assistants
You may wish to volunteer as a Mission Assistant. The best way to do that is to find pilot volunteers in your area who are are interested in having a mission assistant, for example, at a fly-in or local social event.
