No one wants to cancel a trip, however, it is of the utmost importance that you do cancel if you feel there is any concern about the safety of the trip. Passengers always have a backup plan, and are very aware that a flight may be canceled at any time, even the last minute. You should always feel comfortable canceling. Your decision to cancel will always be seen as a reflection of your professionalism and good judgement as a volunteer.
In this video, we review the process for cancellation, including ways to mitigate the impact of cancellation by working with the coordination team to understand the best timing for cancellation based on the passenger’s backup plan.
