The following information applies to Passengers and their Companions, listed below as ‘Passenger’ and Command Pilots and Earth Angels, listed below as ‘Volunteer.’
To mitigate risks associated with travel due to COVID-19, it is strongly recommended everyone sign the electronic waiver on their own mobile devices when possible. Passengers will be sent a link to the electronic waiver before their flight. Signatures must be made planeside.
If Passengers do not have a mobile device with access to the electronic waiver, they can sign on their Volunteer’s mobile device. It is recommended everyone take safety measures when signing on someone else’s device, such as covering the mobile device in plastic (touchscreens work when covered with a Ziploc bag or plastic wrap), wiping it down with sanitizer before and after anyone touches it, etc. A finger or stylus can be used to sign on a touchscreen. Similar safety measures are recommended for signatures using a paper waiver (e.g. everyone uses their own pen). Passengers must pay special attention and sign only in their designated field(s).
Due to internet connectivity issues, especially at remote airports, the electronic waiver may not be available. Volunteers keep hard copies in their plane/car, and they may ask you to sign a hard copy instead.
Passengers can access the waiver through the itinerary e-mail.
This e-mail is sent to Volunteers and Passengers when a Volunteer is assigned to the mission, as well as anytime there are updates to the mission. If possible, please have access to this itinerary e-mail on the day of your mission. Planeside, click the waiver link at the top of the itinerary e-mail under the ‘File your waiver electronically’ section. Sign and click ‘Save & Send Waiver’ at the bottom of the page.
PLEASE DO NOT SIGN THE WAIVER UNTIL YOU ARE WITH YOUR VOLUNTEER THE DAY OF YOUR FLIGHT
