Once you join as a member and set up your username and password, you have access to the online database to view upcoming missions in your area. Once you have logged in to VPOIDS, be sure that your profile indicates that you are available as a Mission Assistant. To view and update your profile settings, please refer to How Do I Indicate that I'm Interested in Being A Mission Assistant?.
If you have indicated that you are available as a Mission Assistant, you will be notified of opportunities in your area. Please refer to this article to see more about how this works.
Another way to find Mission Assistant opportunities is to take a proactive approach in reaching out to the Command Pilot and offering your help.
To view upcoming missions and the find assigned Command Pilot's name, home base, and contact information, click on Missions Pending on the left hand side of the page. If you prefer to reach out via e-mail, you can do a Person Find (link just below Missions Pending) for the pilot and find his e-mail address there.
